Congratulations because you just took the first step in a process that millions of homeowners will never both with. You just decided you’re not going to be a pawn in the game of “count the cash” that the energy cartels play with our lives.

My name is Jerry Maxwell and I’m what you’d call an “average guy”. I don’t have a million dollars in the bank. I don’t bungee jump on the weekend or own a motorcycle.

I live in Alameda with my wife, two children, and faithful furry companion Mr. Jinx. I’m a happy guy because I live the dream – the one we were all taught to aspire for – to own your own home, have a happy family and go on vacation for four weeks every year.

But, there is one very big catch. I have converted my home into a full blown solar and wind powered testament to independent thinking. I’ve told the energy companies to leave me be and taken hold over my own energy consumption – something I never would have thought possible just 10 years ago.

It all started a few years back when I had my own bill shock moment. The energy costs in my state had just undergone another roller coaster increase and I was done. We were barely scraping by as is and electricity was set to increase another 18% in just one year!
