Electric Vehicles Welcomed to Seaside Town

The East Sussex town of Brighton has just announced that it will be installing 20 roadside charging stations for use with electric vehicles. This is part of a big project to try and make Brighton a more Zero-emission city.

However, do people who own an electric car really think they are better than everyone else? Well if you take an episode of South Park it would seem so. Many of the characters in South Park who bought an electric car suddenly found that they all started to think very highly of themselves and certainly far better than people without the car.

Of course this was all nonsense and was just put there to upset the people of Chicago (where most of the episode was based) as well as everyone who owns one of the electric cars.

Could it be that the solution to the worlds pollution problems lie in these cars, or perhaps they cause more hassle than good? As power stations are unable to shut down overnight, currently there is a lot of unused electricity, so without building anymore stations, we could power millions of electric vehicles with no additional impact on the environment. Even if we do have to build more power plants, they would hopefully be cleaner plants. Economically, the price per mile is a lot cheaper for an electric car than it is for gas car. The truth is of course all to do with efficiency as gasoline cars are 25% efficient whereas electric are about 95% so this equates to a mile on electric costing a penny and a mile on gas costing around 15 cents.

So if you are about to Buy a new Alfa Romeo or buy a new Mercedes you should hold off and wait until an electric car comes your way. Whether it is new cars there is sure to be an eventual upgrade for a car to help take down your C02 emissions.

Dire Predictions: Understanding Global Warming - The Illustrated Guide to the Findings of the IPCCDire Predictions: Understanding Global Warming - The Illustrated Guide to the Findings of the IPCCThe Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has been issuing the essential facts and figures on climate change for nearly two decades. But the hundreds of pages of scientific evidence quoted for accuracy by the media and scientists alike, remain inscrutable to the general public who may still question the validity of climate change.

Esteemed climate scientists Michael E. Mann and Lee R. Kump, have partnered with DK Publishing to present Dire Predictions-an important book in this time of global need. Dire Predictions presents the information documented by the IPCC in an illustrated, visually-stunning, and undeniably powerful way to the lay reader. The scientific findings that provide validity to the implications of climate change are presented in clear-cut graphic elements, striking images, and understandable analogies.
Climate of Corruption: Politics and Power Behind The Global Warming HoaxClimate of Corruption: Politics and Power Behind The Global Warming HoaxForeword written by S. Fred Singer, former director of the U.S. Weather Satellite Service and coauthor of Unstoppable Global Warming.

Melting glaciers, suffering polar bears, rising oceans- these are just a few of the climate change crisis myths debunked by noted aerospace expert Larry Bell in this explosive new book. With meticulous research, Bell deflates these and other climate misconceptions with perceptive analysis, humor, and the most recent scientific data. Written for the laymen, yet in-depth enough for the specialist, this book digs deep into the natural and political aspects of the climate change debate, answering fundamental questions that reveal the all-too-human origins of "scientific" inquiry. Why and how are some of the world s most prestigious scientific institutions cashing in on the debate? Who stand to benefit most by promoting public climate change alarmism? What true political and financial purposes are served by the vilification of carbon dioxide? How do climate deceptions promote grossly exaggerated claims for non-fossil alternative energy capacities and advance blatant global wealth redistribution goals? With its devastating portrayal of scientific and government establishments run amok, this book is an invaluable addition to the tremendously popular literature attacking the scientific status quo. Climate of Corruption will bring welcome relief to all those who are fed up with climate crisis insanity.
