Tracking And Measuring Global Warming Is Not As Easy As Cribbage | Ecology News
Just from today, so far…
Almost every day, articles and claims are made that this proves or disproves global warming, written or made by people who have not the slightest idea of how complex the studies are. Below, in sections 2 and 3, I refer to two local studies which, as you will see, are being widely confused with ‘global warming’, pro or con.
What is particularly amazing is the incredible dogmatism of the ignorant writers of these items.
Yet more examples of the arrogance of ignorance.
The first section gives some idea of the complexity of these studies, both parts being taken from today. The second section has a claim for a localised study in Asia, purporting to be global. The third section has this week’s example of the extreme “it ain’t happening” tendency, which makes the contrary claim with the same error.

A-Z of Global WarmingThe phrase global warming is a term that has been in common usage for some time and usually refers to recent warming of Earth s atmosphere, which also implies a manmade or human influence. Each chapter of this book deals with an aspect of it. Starting with A for Amazon, the book takes the reader an A-Z journey through global warming, with each chapter dealing with a specific point on the issue of climate change and global warming. Biofuels are looked at, Carbon Dioxide, Electric Vehicles through to Weather, Xtinction, You Can Help and finally Zero Hour.... The book is illustrated throughout to assist in the simplification of this complex subject matter. 10% of authors net sale proceeds will be divided between 4 global warming related organisations, to include The Alliance for Climate Protection, WWF, Global Cool, and Pure the Clean Planet Trust.
Climate of Corruption: Politics and Power Behind The Global Warming HoaxForeword written by S. Fred Singer, former director of the U.S. Weather Satellite Service and coauthor of Unstoppable Global Warming. Melting glaciers, suffering polar bears, rising oceans- these are just a few of the climate change crisis myths debunked by noted aerospace expert Larry Bell in this explosive new book. With meticulous research, Bell deflates these and other climate misconceptions with perceptive analysis, humor, and the most recent scientific data. Written for the laymen, yet in-depth enough for the specialist, this book digs deep into the natural and political aspects of the climate change debate, answering fundamental questions that reveal the all-too-human origins of "scientific" inquiry. Why and how are some of the world s most prestigious scientific institutions cashing in on the debate? Who stand to benefit most by promoting public climate change alarmism? What true political and financial purposes are served by the vilification of carbon dioxide? How do climate deceptions promote grossly exaggerated claims for non-fossil alternative energy capacities and advance blatant global wealth redistribution goals? With its devastating portrayal of scientific and government establishments run amok, this book is an invaluable addition to the tremendously popular literature attacking the scientific status quo. Climate of Corruption will bring welcome relief to all those who are fed up with climate crisis insanity.
The Greatest Hoax: How the Global Warming Conspiracy Threatens Your FutureAmericans are over-regulated and over-taxed. When regulation escalates, the result is an increase in regulators. In other words, bigger government is required to enforce the greater degree of regulation. Bigger government means bigger budgets and higher taxes. "More" simply doesn't mean "better." A perfect example is the entire global warming, climate-change issue, which is an effort to dramatically and hugely increase regulation of each of our lives and business, and to raise our cost of living and taxes. In The Greatest Hoax, Senator James Inhofe will reveal the reasons behind those perpetuating the Hoax of global warming, who is benefitting from the general acceptance of the Hoax and why the premise statements are blatantly and categorically false.
2084: An Oral History of the Great Warming (Kindle Single)By 2084, global warming has proven worse than even the worst-case projections of scientists at the turn of the century. No country and no individual has escaped. Through interviews, this book of oral history captures the effects of the Great Warming on various countries and individuals, as reported in the year 2084.
Global Warming: A Very Short IntroductionGlobal warming is arguably the most critical and controversial issue facing the world in the twenty-first century, one that will affect every living creature on the planet. It is also an extraordinarily complex problem, which everyone needs to understand as clearly and completely as possible. This Very Short Introduction provides a concise and accessible explanation of the key aspects of global warming. Mark Maslin discusses how and why changes are occurring, sets current warming trends in the context of past climate change, examines the predicted impact of global warming, as well as the political controversies of recent years and the many proposed solutions. Fully updated for 2008, this compelling account offers the best current scientific understanding of global warming, describing recent developments in US policy and the UK Climate Change Bill, where we now stand with the Kyoto Protocol, and the latest findings of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Maslin also includes a chapter on local solutions, reflecting the now widely held view that, to mitigate any impending disaster, governments as well as individuals must to act together.
