What Can I Come Up Against With Solar Panel Projects Over the Winter?

If you live in a region that experiences severe winters you may want to know if your house is a good candidate for solar panels. After all, days or weeks of dark skies, snow flurries or heavy rains hardly seem compatible with a technology that depends on the sun to run it.

But the last 10 years have brought a lot of innovation and progress to solar panel technology. Now solar technology is far enough along that solar panels can easily produce electricity even during inclement weather conditions.

If yours is an off grid system which works independently from a power utility system, your solar energy system should have a set of back-up batteries. These batteries are like the ones used in cars. They are made to hold any extra power that your solar panels generate during the day. If your battery storage system is correctly designed for your locale, it will include the right number of these batteries to store power for the number of cloudy days that are usual for your geographical area.

If you have a system that is connected to the grid of your local electric utility company, then you won’t require back-up batteries. When the sun goes down at night, or during a spell of inclement weather obscuring the sun for days, your power system will automatically get electricity from your local energy company. You’ll still be enjoying the benefit of reduced electric costs because on sunny days your electricity will be coming from your own solar panels.

In some areas, you may even be able to sell power back to your local power company. This is yet another way solar panels can prove cost effective. The way this works is that excess power produces by your solar panels flows back into the company and you received credit for it on your bill.  So even when you need to use power from the grid at night or on overcast days, the excess that was produced by your solar panels can still be used to reduce your overall utility bill.

A-Z of Global WarmingA-Z of Global WarmingThe phrase global warming is a term that has been in common usage for some time and usually refers to recent warming of Earth s atmosphere, which also implies a manmade or human influence. Each chapter of this book deals with an aspect of it. Starting with A for Amazon, the book takes the reader an A-Z journey through global warming, with each chapter dealing with a specific point on the issue of climate change and global warming. Biofuels are looked at, Carbon Dioxide, Electric Vehicles through to Weather, Xtinction, You Can Help and finally Zero Hour.... The book is illustrated throughout to assist in the simplification of this complex subject matter. 10% of authors net sale proceeds will be divided between 4 global warming related organisations, to include The Alliance for Climate Protection, WWF, Global Cool, and Pure the Clean Planet Trust.
Climate of Corruption: Politics and Power Behind The Global Warming HoaxClimate of Corruption: Politics and Power Behind The Global Warming HoaxForeword written by S. Fred Singer, former director of the U.S. Weather Satellite Service and coauthor of Unstoppable Global Warming.

Melting glaciers, suffering polar bears, rising oceans- these are just a few of the climate change crisis myths debunked by noted aerospace expert Larry Bell in this explosive new book. With meticulous research, Bell deflates these and other climate misconceptions with perceptive analysis, humor, and the most recent scientific data. Written for the laymen, yet in-depth enough for the specialist, this book digs deep into the natural and political aspects of the climate change debate, answering fundamental questions that reveal the all-too-human origins of "scientific" inquiry. Why and how are some of the world s most prestigious scientific institutions cashing in on the debate? Who stand to benefit most by promoting public climate change alarmism? What true political and financial purposes are served by the vilification of carbon dioxide? How do climate deceptions promote grossly exaggerated claims for non-fossil alternative energy capacities and advance blatant global wealth redistribution goals? With its devastating portrayal of scientific and government establishments run amok, this book is an invaluable addition to the tremendously popular literature attacking the scientific status quo. Climate of Corruption will bring welcome relief to all those who are fed up with climate crisis insanity.

Global Warming: A Very Short IntroductionGlobal Warming: A Very Short IntroductionGlobal warming is arguably the most critical and controversial issue facing the world in the twenty-first century, one that will affect every living creature on the planet. It is also an extraordinarily complex problem, which everyone needs to understand as clearly and completely as possible. This Very Short Introduction provides a concise and accessible explanation of the key aspects of global warming. Mark Maslin discusses how and why changes are occurring, sets current warming trends in the context of past climate change, examines the predicted impact of global warming, as well as the political controversies of recent years and the many proposed solutions. Fully updated for 2008, this compelling account offers the best current scientific understanding of global warming, describing recent developments in US policy and the UK Climate Change Bill, where we now stand with the Kyoto Protocol, and the latest findings of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Maslin also includes a chapter on local solutions, reflecting the now widely held view that, to mitigate any impending disaster, governments as well as individuals must to act together.

No country and no individual has escaped. Through interviews, this book of oral history captures the effects of the Great Warming on various countries and individuals, as reported in the year 2084.
