Enviro tips we can use for a green planet
Sometimes you may feel that the temperature of our planet is soaring up? What do you think is the major reason behind climate change? Do you think people are to blame for their disregard towards the environment? No person can ignore the strange happenings anymore. Scientists have long researched the side results of how humans manage environmental waste and encouraged the beginning of recycle programs.
How hot is the Earth today?
The environment today is warmer than it had been several years ago. Areas that had been once uninhabited due to icy areas have finally become forests. An example would be in Greenland. Every inch of Greenland has become forested since 450,000 to 800,000 years ago.
No one will believe a few of these scary facts:
Scientists have reported that the earth experienced the hottest of climates during the year 1995-2006. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change of the United Nations, the earth’s temperature is .75°C warmer than it was in the 1850’s. You may think that this isn’t a big deal however it has devastating effects in the different parts of the planet.
Specific habitats require a certain temperature for plant life and animals to live. Now due to the increasing heat, there are several species of animals that began to migrate towards much cooler areas towards the north or south poles. Just imagine if these species are a source of food in certain countries, the supply would certainly be scarce and the inhabitants of the area would need to source for other types of food.
British observers have sighted types of tropical fish in the cooler areas of the Northern Atlantic. It has been first observed since the 1980’s. Fishermen have caught types of fish that is faraway from its habitat range because of the difference in climate.
A Glacier Monitoring Service based in Zurich noted how the amount of European glaciers continues to be halved starting the 1850’s until today. Russian experts and researchers had also concluded that there have been instances of permafrost in Mongolia and China throughout the year 2007. This season, British scientists have reported a 2.2% increase in humidity for the last thirty years.
So what’s long term effects?
The greenhouse effect is obviously influencing different types of species. Climate temperatures are moving up and down at an erratic rate. Don’t assume all species easily adjust to climate changes. The sudden change can occasionally cause their death.
