albedo effect?

Hi, so I've been interested in learning about Global Warming for a while now and I read a lot of articles and a word that came up a lot was "albedo." I searched it up but I still don't quite get what it is…There was also a forum and people were talking about chemistry and albedo and I don't get how chemistry and albedo are linked…?? I don't really know much about chemistry but this question really interests me.

If maybe you guys can suggest a few articles about albedo or explain to me what it is and how it's linked to chemistry, that would be great 😀
