I was watching Geoff Lawton videos and I manage 2 acres myself that I leave semi wild.
I was thinking of going somewhere with few trees and slowly enriching the soil by burying biodegradable garbage and paper waste and getting it able to become a sustainable, self-replicating and able to support a greater variety of wildlife.
My idea is that trees are made of carbon, so by growing trees, carbon will be tied up between the wood and the moist soil. The trees will also become fertilized by the excess co2 in the atmosphere. So if enough hippies grew trees in baren deserts, the problem could be sorted in backyards maybe.
