I am debating someone on twitter regarding global warming and they linked a study (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/0360544293900167 )
The study is titled "Evidence on the climate impact of solar variations".
And in the second to last paragraph of the abstract it states: "The mid-point of that range, a change in solar irradiance of 0.4%, is sufficient to explain all or most of the recovery from the Little Ice Age of the 17th Century and most of the half-degree global warming observed during the last 100 years."
They believe global warming is a hoax and this was the evidence they listed.
How should I respond?
